Indeed congrats! Scott view post
Wow congrats! view post
Congratulations! I hope the word is getting out! I'm pretty tired of making PoN references that no one understands .

Excellent news!! Congratulations!! Now, how can we spread the word to others about how great this series truly is? For me, hands down, it has such an incredible detail to world building that makes it stand way above all others. I mean, look at all the little details of back history Scott puts into all three books to make it incredibly believable. view post
Huzzah! I'll quote Stegoking from over on the Westeros forum: "Scott Bakker is the best kept secret in speculative fiction." Hopefully, this means the tide is changing. view post
Congrats! SFSite was a surprisingly well-read readers poll. And I was super-excited to see TWP in the top 10. view post
Btw X-ray, I saw this first in your link over at ASOIAF. Good Catch. view post
The word is definitely spreading, I'd say. I work at a B&N and I've noticed sales of the series, particularly TDTCB, have been steadily increasing since the release of TTT. I also noticed that B&N's distributors are out of stock of TDTCB in paperback, so until Overlook ships more out, it might be tough to find. Such a shortage usually means things are going well for a book. view post
That's definitly good news to hear as a fan. I know I "pimp" the books any chance I get to the uninitiated. Should be like what we were doing when the Firefly boxset came out. Everyone who was a fan tried to get 3 other people hooked on the show who would hopefully then buy the boxset as well,, they in turn would hook 3 more, etc. Worked rather well ind riving DVD sales and helping the movie get made
