does anyone have any idea when the book is slated to hit stores? Sorry if it's posted somewhere but I'm lazy and wanted to interrupt the long list of sex spam with something a little more relevant. view post
I woudn't count on it till next year. view post
Hmm. Well, Im sure the long wait will be worth it once we see the new book. I mean, look at the first three books. They were amazing descriptive, and, you can close your eyes and see the battles in your mind. That kind of dedication to detail and creativity doesnt come out of a 5-minute writing session. view post
That is so true. i hope he never sacrifices quality for speed. view post
harrol i agree though truth be told i can't help but be somewhat impatient despite the fact that i am well aware it will be worth the wait. i mean between scott and GRRM and waiting for their books i just don't know what to do with my self. view post
From [u:145o0dju][url=http://fantasyhotlist.blogspot.com/2008/04/new-r-scott-bakker-interview.html:145o0dju]a new interview posted last week on Pat's Fantasy Hotlist[/url:145o0dju][/u:145o0dju]: [quote:145o0dju][b:145o0dju]The pub date for The Judging Eye appears to have been pushed back to winter 2009. Is that accurate or just a tentative release date? Has the book been postponed because the format of The Aspect-Emperor went from being a duology to a trilogy?[/b:145o0dju] As far as I know that’s tentative, and it has more to do with scheduling issues arising from Neuropath than anything else. I’ve started writing the sequel, but I keep finding myself going back to fiddle with things – I’m a chronic fiddler, probably because of the Cringe Game. Revision really is a central part of the process for me.[/quote:145o0dju] More stuff following on from that interview, including rebuttal from Bakker, here: http://ofblog.blogspot.com/2008/04/inte ... rview.html view post

It's been ages since I've posted here, although I guess Scott and I talking still can attract some attention It'll be nice to re-read NP in print form shortly, as the ARCs for the Penguin Canada edition ought to be arriving soon.
view post
Aldarion you get a NP arc? I only thought I hated you but now I really do
view post
Well, I received an electronic draft of it back in Feb. 2006, well before Orion picked it up for the UK (and then Penguin for Canada and Tor for the US markets), so does that mean you can hate me even further?
Besides, I likely would have received an ARC anyways since I do receive quite a few now for review purposes on a few sites.

I know you do alot of reveiws and you do a great job. Yes the hate goes even further now. view post
I will not rest until I can persuade Scott and his wife to name their firstborn child (if male) after me. Only then shall your hatred of me be complete.
view post
can i read the draft they sent you i won't tell anyone whats in it and will still buy a copy of the book when it comes out. view post
No, because I replaced computers a year ago after the old one blew up. That's why I haven't re-read it since Feb. 2006. I'll be receiving a print galley in the next few weeks though from Penguin, depending on when Scott gave them my mailing address. view post
